Green Hosting

This website runs on servers of the hosting provider Raidboxes. Raidboxes' data centers are powered exclusively by energy from hydropower.

Green website hosting refers to hosting services that prioritise sustainability and have as little impact on the environment as possible. Many traditional hosting providers rely on data centres that consume large amounts of energy, often from fossil fuels. This can contribute to climate change and damage the environment. Green hosting providers such as Raidboxes, on the other hand, use renewable energy sources such as solar, wind or water power to operate their data centres. This helps to reduce the carbon footprint and minimise the impact on the environment.

Raidboxes also participates in the Eden Reforestation Project, planting one tree for every website hosted (approximately 175,000 trees in 2021, for example). By planting millions of trees each year, the Eden Reforestation Project reduces extreme poverty, regenerates forest land, and sustainably strengthens the local community and economy. Wood - a sustainable raw material

Wood is a renewable resource that can be sustainably managed, making it an environmentally friendly material for a wide range of products. When forests are properly managed, trees can be harvested and replanted, creating a sustainable growth and use cycle. In addition, wood is biodegradable, meaning it can be broken down and returned to the environment without harming it.

The use of wood products can also have a lower carbon footprint than the use of materials such as plastic or metal. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow (e.g. 1 m³ of wood absorbs an average of 1 tonne of CO₂), and when wood products are used instead of materials that consume fossil fuels, they can help offset carbon dioxide emissions.

Packaging & Shipping

We pack our products exclusively in cardboard/paper and do not use any kind of plastic packaging. With this label we would like to show that we are a customer of Der Grüne Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH in Germany and that our sales packaging for the German market participates in the dual system Der Grüne Punkt.

We also send our parcels with DHL Go Green. DHL Go Green is a sustainable shipping method in which the CO₂ emissions generated by transport are offset by climate protection projects. DHL invests in projects such as reforestation, renewable energy and clean technologies to minimise its ecological footprint.
